What is VITA 66?

This connector has been designed with ruggedness and reliability in mind. Its scalability allows it to accommodate a wide variety of optical connector types and configurations, thus meeting the needs of various industrial applications.

  1. High Density: Each connector can support up to 24 optical channels (and up to 48 with 2 MT ferrules).
  2. PRIZM® MT Technology Integration: Versions 66.1 and 66.4 of this connector incorporate US Conec’s PRIZM® MT ferrule, which utilizes expanded beam technology.
  3. Operation: Each end of the ferrule is equipped with a lens. The first lens expands the signal, which is then recollimated by the second lens.
