These portable instruments, designed for senior engineers with advanced technical knowledge, have been developed by WORLDWIDE, a leading company in instrumentation technology.
Project Context
The story began when WORLDWIDE WCE was struggling due to rising manufacturing costs imposed by their current supplier. Unable to pass these cost increases on to their customers due to market forces, ANTON sought a solution that would allow them to maintain their target margin while still offering innovative features in a highly competitive market.
The Commission
WORLDWIDE WCE was tasked with producing a range of gas detectors and pressure gauges that would not only help ANTON regain its target margin, but also add new functionality to differentiate them in the market. The task was not simple: they had to design instruments that met the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
The Product
In record time, WORLDWIDE WCE delivered a prototype pressure gauge which proved to Anton that they could meet his requirements. From this prototype, detailed specifications were generated for each of the products. The range included:
- Low Cost Gas Detector: Designed to detect gas leaks efficiently and accurately.
- Advanced Gas Detector: With additional features for more complex applications.
- Economical Pressure Gauge: Ideal for pressure measurements in industrial environments.
- High Precision Pressure Gauge: For critical applications where accuracy is essential.
WORLDWIDE WCE developed custom electronics for each product and designed silicone casings and protectors in collaboration with its Chinese partners. But the real innovation lies in the integration with ANTON’s mobile app. Users can now directly connect the devices to their phones or tablets to record on-site tests, meeting the legal requirements of the UK plumbing industry.
In summary, this collaboration of WORLDWIDE WCE has resulted in a line of high-quality portable instruments that not only meet the most demanding technical expectations, but also offer a unique competitive advantage in the industrial market.
